We are seeking experienced Cost Management Specialists at all levels to join a growing team delivering major infrastructure projects across Scotland and the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to work on industry-leading projects spanning sectors including highways, aviation, marine/ports, utilities, rail, and nuclear, while developing your commercial and cost management expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Cost Management Specialist, you will play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of complex infrastructure programmes. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to provide robust cost control, forecasting, contract administration, and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, training, career progression, and exposure to a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Administer contracts in line with project objectives and governance requirements.
- Monitor, forecast, and report project costs accurately through to completion.
- Manage cost variances, cash flow, valuations, and applications for payment.
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver project objectives, KPIs, and performance targets.
- Manage contract changes and ensure appropriate governance and commercial controls are maintained.
- Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, budget management, and commercial performance.
- Provide commercial advice and support to project stakeholders.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Lead project commissions and support the development of team members where appropriate.
