Morson are recruiting Plumbers & Pipefitters for a major client on a shipbuilding project in Govan. 12-month contracts with strong potential for extension.

Role: Fabrication & installation of small and large bore pipe spools. Work in Pipe Shop and on ship. Materials & fittings include flanges, elbows, T-pieces, Blucher pipe, Lokring couplings. Hand bending pipework (pulled & hydraulic). Reading trade drawings. Strict adherence to SHE, PPE & RPE requirements.

Requirements:

  • Time-served with trade papers
  • Experience in shipbuilding / marine / heavy industry preferred
  • Skills must be transferable to shipbuilding
  • Plumbers must detail pipework, materials & techniques on CV

Rates:

  • Days: Locals £20.10 PAYE, Non-locals £28.10 PAYE
  • Nights: Locals £26.73 PAYE, Non-locals £34.73 PAYE (Umbrella rates available – full rate card on request)

Benefits: Min 37 hours/week. Overtime available (not guaranteed). 33 days holiday including bank holidays.
