Morson are recruiting on behalf of BAE Systems for an experienced Indirect Procurement Category Lead to join their Procurement & Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity to support strategic IT procurement activities, manage key supplier relationships, and play a key role in delivering procurement solutions across a variety of IT projects.
The Role
- Lead procurement activity across the full IT project lifecycle, from sourcing through to contract award.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, governance, performance, and contract changes.
- Negotiate commercial contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
- Support IT procurement transformation projects and supplier transition activities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, managing procurement queries and ensuring compliance.
- Support operational procurement activities, including requisition and invoice approvals.
- Manage supplier transition activities from incumbent providers to new suppliers.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and service level agreements.
About You
Essential
- Commercial procurement experience with strong contract negotiation skills.
- Experience managing suppliers and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable
- Experience within IT or Technology procurement.
- MCIPS qualified or working towards qualification.
- IT-related qualification.
