Shift Information

  • All successful candidates will complete an initial one-week onboarding and induction period, carried out on day shifts, which will include site induction, health & safety procedures, training, and familiarisation.
  • Position 1: Night Shift – 6:00pm to 6:00am
  • Position 2: Day Shift – Alternative day shift pattern 6:00am to 6:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking two experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Truck Drivers to join the team at Tarmac's Linford Bagging Plant on an ongoing contract basis. Candidates will be responsible for safely operating counterbalance forklift trucks within a busy industrial/manufacturing environment while supporting site operations and maintaining health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, move and store materials/products around site
  • Support production and bagging plant operations as required
  • Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks before use
  • Follow all site procedures and health & safety requirements

Requirements

  • Valid CTITB Counterbalance Forklift Licence or equivalent certification
  • Licence must cover Counterbalance Forklift operation up to 5 tonnes
  • Previous experience operating Counterbalance FLTs in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or similar environments

Desirable

  • Previous experience within production, aggregates, manufacturing or plant environments
