A leading defence organisation is seeking a Manufacturing Bid Lead to support new business activity and deliver industrial transfer and offload programmes within a complex engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce competitive and compliant manufacturing bids for industrial transfer work packages.
- Deliver industrial transfer projects, ensuring performance to time, cost and quality, with clear progress reporting and issue resolution.
- Lead the manufacturing offload process, working with manufacturing and procurement teams to identify suppliers and develop business cases.
- Implement manufacturing strategy and industrial policy aligned to new business pipelines and technology roadmaps.
- Support new business capture activity and maintain strong internal and supplier stakeholder relationships.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and functional excellence initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Proven project management experience delivering fixed-cost programmes within a matrix organisation.
- Background in manufacturing, engineering or production environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proactive, decisive and commercially aware, with the ability to balance strategic and day-to-day delivery.
Security clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance will be required.
