Morson is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer to recruit a Process Engineer to join the Manufacturing Team at their Broughton site.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Translate design intent into the development and control of technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data for aircraft detail manufacture, assembly, testing, and certification, utilising current business tools.
  • Apply best practise methods, tools, and processes from first principles to meet both current and future business requirements.
  • Produce detailed work preparation documents, including routings, bills of materials (BOMs), statements of intent (SOIs), and standard time value (STV) calculations, to support aircraft production.
  • Ensure all work and documentation comply with departmental procedures and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Lead projects to improve detail manufacture, assembly, testing, and certification methods, tools, and processes, including the development and implementation of aligned business strategies.
  • Evaluate manufacturing process capacity, recommend improvements, and propose adjustments to product design standards as necessary.
  • Provide electrical and mechanical support on the shopfloor to operations, supply chain, and final assembly lines.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in current business management tools, preferably SAP.
  • Capable of applying first principles within manufacturing disciplines to make informed technical decisions daily.
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and associated business information systems.
  • Proven experience in aircraft production, engineering methods, and associated procedures.
  • Awareness of the interactions between Manufacturing Engineering and other business functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive, self-motivated approach are advantageous.
