Morson is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer to recruit a Process Engineer to join the Manufacturing Team at their Broughton site.
Key Accountabilities:
- Translate design intent into the development and control of technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data for aircraft detail manufacture, assembly, testing, and certification, utilising current business tools.
- Apply best practise methods, tools, and processes from first principles to meet both current and future business requirements.
- Produce detailed work preparation documents, including routings, bills of materials (BOMs), statements of intent (SOIs), and standard time value (STV) calculations, to support aircraft production.
- Ensure all work and documentation comply with departmental procedures and relevant regulatory standards.
- Lead projects to improve detail manufacture, assembly, testing, and certification methods, tools, and processes, including the development and implementation of aligned business strategies.
- Evaluate manufacturing process capacity, recommend improvements, and propose adjustments to product design standards as necessary.
- Provide electrical and mechanical support on the shopfloor to operations, supply chain, and final assembly lines.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficient in current business management tools, preferably SAP.
- Capable of applying first principles within manufacturing disciplines to make informed technical decisions daily.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and associated business information systems.
- Proven experience in aircraft production, engineering methods, and associated procedures.
- Awareness of the interactions between Manufacturing Engineering and other business functions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive, self-motivated approach are advantageous.
