We are currently looking for a HSE Engineer to be working for one of our clients based in Eastbourne. This is a 6-month part time contract, working 21 hours a week across 3 days.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures, making environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ensuring compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeping abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
  • Serving as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.

Qualifications may include a bachelor's degree in the area of specialty and related experience, with proven capabilities in the field or in a related area. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field is required. The role relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under immediate supervision, typically reporting to a supervisor.
