Senior Quantity Surveyor – Water & Infrastructure Location: North London Salary: Β£60,000 – Β£75,000 + benefits Employment Type: Permanent Hours: 42.5 hours per week The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Barhale, a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor. This is a North London-based opportunity for a commercially experienced QS who has worked on water, utilities or infrastructure projects . You will be responsible for managing the commercial performance of projects, working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors. What We're Looking For We're particularly interested in candidates with: Experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure. Strong experience working on water, wastewater, utilities or infrastructure projects . Experience managing projects around Β£1m–£5m in value. Strong knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts . Experience with Target Cost contracts . Strong commercial and cost-control experience. Experience preparing and managing CVRs, forecasts and cost reports . Experience with cash flow and financial reporting . Experience managing subcontract procurement and subcontractor accounts . Experience with valuations, payments, accruals and final accounts. Good understanding of commercial and contractual risk . Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Desirable It would be advantageous if you have: Experience working for a direct-delivery contractor . Strong water-sector experience . Experience with IChemE contracts . HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. RICS membership or working towards it.
