Project Engineer London Hybrid Working - 3 x a week on site An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineering Assurance Professional to join a major UK infrastructure programme. This role will provide technical leadership and assurance across complex engineering projects, ensuring that design and construction activities meet organisational, sponsor, regulatory and industry requirements. The Role You will: Provide technical assurance throughout project delivery, producing and reviewing evidence for key technical stage gates. Assure that designs and construction activities comply with applicable standards, specifications, procedures and project requirements. Conduct and support technical assurance reviews, audits and spot-checks of contractor deliverables. Provide specialist engineering guidance to contractors and respond to technical queries. Support senior engineering leadership in fulfilling statutory and contractual responsibilities, including relevant construction design and management duties. Promote best practice, innovation and efficient engineering solutions across project teams. Work collaboratively with technical specialists to develop practical, cost-effective mitigation strategies and support successful system integration. Manage competing technical priorities, stakeholders, cost and programme requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. Promote and embed equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all aspects of the role. About You You will have: Significant experience delivering or assuring engineering within major projects or programmes. Strong complex problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proven technical leadership within an engineering discipline. Excellent technical communication and stakeholder-management abilities. Knowledge of UK construction regulations, including CDM requirements.
