MEICA Project Manager - Water Infrastructure
Im currently supporting a leading UK infrastructure contractor that has secured a substantial volume of AMP8 work across the water sector and is looking to appoint an experienced MEICA Project Manager to join their growing delivery team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of water and wastewater projects involving mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control systems, with project values typically ranging from Β£200k to Β£10m.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading projects from initial planning through to construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing MEICA project delivery across water and wastewater assets.
Leading project teams, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
Managing NEC contracts, compensation events and change control.
Ensuring projects meet programme, commercial and quality objectives.
Coordinating design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Managing project risks, resources and stakeholder expectations.
Driving a positive safety culture throughout project delivery.
Typical Projects
MCC upgrades and replacements.
Control and instrumentation installations.
Chemical dosing systems.
Pumping stations.
Water treatment and wastewater treatment upgrades.
Process plant improvements.
Electrical and mechanical infrastructure enhancements.
About You
Were keen to speak with candidates who have:
Previous MEICA Project Management experience.
Water, wastewater, utilities or industrial process sector experience.
Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
Experience managing subcontractors and delivery teams.
Mechanical, Electrical, ICA or MEICA engineering background.
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Qualifications
Degree, HNC or HND in an engineering discipline.
SMSTS or SSSTS.
CSCS Card.
APM qualification or equivalent.
First Aid qualification.
