This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both remotely with a visit to Cambridgeshire once. As BIM Coordinator, you will lead digital modelling across multiple projects, overseeing a team of BIM technicians. You will ensure compliance with BIM procedures and collaborate with wider project teams to create, verify and manage intelligent 3D models. From supporting data extraction to model audits and technical guidance, you will shape design quality and innovation from the ground up.
What you will be doing
- Resolve model clashes and support design optimisation at coordination meetings
- Identify design risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Extract model data for PCI documentation
- Ensure structured and accessible design data
- Manage model cataloguing and streamline digital asset organisation
- Collaborate across disciplines to maintain modelling accuracy
- Provide technical support to design teams
- Foster an inclusive, respectful work culture
- Research and implement new BIM processes to boost efficiency
Who we are looking for
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours:
- Engineering diploma, degree, or equivalent
- Strong experience in mechanical and civil disciplines
- Proficiency in core Autodesk software (Plant 3D, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks)
- Understanding of BIM and QA at a project delivery level - ensuring models are compliant, data is structured, and outputs are usable for construction
- Experience of leading demonstrating leadership under delivery pressures
- Aware of CDM and safety responsibilities in design
- Water-sector project experience preferred but not essential
- Experience in design & build environments a plus
