Role Purpose The DOA Scheduling Analyst is responsible for planning, maintaining, and monitoring engineering and certification schedules within the Design Organisation Approval (DOA). The role supports the timely delivery of design, certification, and airworthiness activities by providing accurate schedule management, reporting, forecasting, and resource planning. Key Responsibilities β€’ Develop, maintain, and control integrated project schedules for Design Organisation Approval (DOA) activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives, certification milestones, and business priorities. β€’ Establish and monitor project baselines, key milestones, critical paths, dependencies, and schedule performance indicators. β€’ Co-ordinate planning activities across engineering, certification, airworthiness, project management, and external stakeholders. β€’ Analyse schedule performance, identify risks, constraints, and potential delays, and recommend recovery or mitigation actions. β€’ Produce regular schedule status reports, dashboards, and management information to support decision-making and governance reviews. β€’ Maintain resource plans and provide forecasting of engineering capacity, workload, and utilisation. β€’ Facilitate project reviews, milestone reviews, and project progress meetings, ensuring actions and schedule impacts are captured. β€’ Support prioritisation and coordination of engineering activities to optimise project delivery and certification objectives. β€’ Develop and implement planning standards, toolsets, templates, and best practices to improve scheduling maturity and consistency across the organisation. β€’ Interface with customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and partner organisations where planning information is required. β€’ Support internal and external audits by providing planning records, schedule evidence, and programme performance data. β€’ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing planning processes, reporting capability, and organisational performance. Qualifications & Experience Essential β€’ Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline. β€’ Experience in project planning, scheduling, or program management within an aerospace, aviation, engineering, or regulated environment. β€’ Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, or equivalent. β€’ Experience developing, maintaining, and reporting integrated project schedules. β€’ Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, dependencies, milestones, critical path analysis, and resource planning. β€’ Experience producing schedule metrics, performance reports, and progress updates for management review. β€’ Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills. β€’ Experience using enterprise planning systems and business intelligence/reporting tools (Power BI, SAP, ERP systems, etc.). β€’ Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. β€’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across engineering, airworthiness, and project teams. β€’ Experience working within quality-managed and highly regulated environments. Desirable β€’ Professional certification in project management or scheduling (APM, PMI, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent). β€’ Knowledge of Design Organisation Approval (DOA) requirements and aerospace certification processes. β€’ Experience supporting CAA/MAA aircraft modification programs. β€’ Understanding of engineering change management and configuration management processes. β€’ Familiarity with program portfolio management and resource forecasting techniques. β€’ Understanding of airworthiness regulations and aerospace development lifecycles. β€’ Experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams across complex development programs. β€’ Lean, continuous improvement, or business process improvement experience. β€’ Knowledge of risk management and schedule risk analysis methodologies.
