We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of subcontract works on a long-term bridge construction project. This role will focus on supervising site activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, with a strong emphasis on formwork and reinforced concrete (RC) operations. You will play a key role in coordinating the workforce, monitoring progress, and maintaining high standards across all site activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day site activities on bridge construction works.
  • Monitor subcontractors and operatives to ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with specifications.
  • Oversee formwork and reinforced concrete works, ensuring correct installation and quality standards are met.
  • Assist in implementing method statements, risk assessments, and permits to work.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and report any issues or non-conformances.
  • Support the Site Manager in tracking progress against programme.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Maintain site records including daily logs, labour returns, and progress updates.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and support site inductions.
  • Liaise with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working on bridge construction or structural works.
  • Strong knowledge of formwork and reinforced concrete (RC) activities.
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing and site operations.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance requirements.
  • Ability to supervise teams and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
  • SSSTS certification.
  • CSCS card.
  • Desirable: Temporary Works Supervisor certification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Experience on long-term infrastructure or highways projects.
  • Familiarity with quality inspections and ITPs.
