Morson Edge are currently recruiting Part 2 and Advanced Scaffolders for a 3-week temporary contract for work based in Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.
You will be responsible for the safe erection, alteration and dismantling of scaffolding, working as part of an experienced team.
Advanced Scaffolders will also be expected to lead and supervise gangs where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding safely and efficiently.
- Work in accordance with SG4, Work at Height Regulations, British Standards and NASC guidance.
- Select, inspect and safely use scaffold tubes, boards, fittings and equipment.
- Work with tube & fitting and specialist scaffold systems.
- Carry out scaffold inspections and ensure structures are safe and compliant.
- Read and work from scaffolding drawings where required.
- Advanced Scaffolders will lead gangs and carry out advanced structures including drop scaffolds, cantilever scaffolds, shoring, temporary roofs, staircases, ramps and aluminium towers.
- Maintain a high standard of health & safety at all times.
Requirements
Basic Scaffolders:
- Relevant industry experience
- NVQ Level 2 / CISRS Scaffolder Card.
- Part 1/Part 2 training and COTS.
- Health & Safety tested.
Advanced Scaffolders:
- Relevant industry experience
- NVQ Level 3 / CISRS Advanced Scaffolder Card.
- Proven experience leading a scaffolding gang.
- COTS and Health & Safety tested.

Pay Details
PAYE
Basic Scaffolder - £21.20 Dayshift, £27.55 O/T 1, £33.90 O/T 2
Advanced Scaffolder - £24.57 Dayshift, £31.91 O/T 1, £39.27 O/T 2
(Lodge Allowance £43.74 per shift applicable for workers travelling over 1 hour)
UMBRELLA
Basic Scaffolder - £27.82 Dayshift, £36.26 O/T 1, £44.71 O/T 2
Advanced Scaffolder - £32.30 Dayshift, £42.06 O/T 1, £51.85 O/T 2
