About The Role
Working within a specialist manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC multi-axis turning centres to produce bespoke precision-engineered components. You will work from detailed engineering drawings, ensuring all products are manufactured to exact specifications and meet stringent quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC multi-axis turning centres
- Manufacturing high-precision components to fine tolerances
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Selecting and using precision measuring equipment
- Inspecting completed components to ensure quality and compliance
- Working safely within a controlled engineering environment
- Collaborating with production and engineering teams to achieve delivery targets
What We are Looking For
- Experience programming and operating CNC multi-axis turning centres
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working to fine imperial and metric tolerances
- Strong understanding of precision measurement equipment
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience with Siemens and/or Mazak controls would be advantageous
- Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
