We are looking for Acoustic Tilers to join our clients team onsite at Devonport Dockyard. The role is responsible for carrying out acoustic tiling activities safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, supporting project delivery in line with company procedures and client requirements.
Job requirements:
- Carry out acoustic tiling duties in line with project specifications, training, and safety standards.
- Follow all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and complete POWRA assessments prior to work.
- Ensure correct PPE is worn and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Support safe execution of work by adhering to company procedures, emergency instructions, and "T Card" processes.
- Operate tools and equipment safely, including hand tools and specialist mechanical equipment (e.g. vacuum systems, mixers).
- Conduct pre-use equipment checks and report any defects promptly.
- Minimise material wastage and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Comply with QA/QC and DefStan requirements, including accurate recording of materials and batch numbers.
- Monitor and support environmental controls and readings in line with project requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards, including safe management of hoses and equipment to prevent hazards.
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Support and guide less experienced operatives where required.
- Report any issues, disruptions, or safety concerns to the Painting Supervisor.
What you will bring:
- Proven experience in acoustic tiling or similar industrial/site-based role.
- Defence Standard 08-121 Issue 3 Method 2 Acoustic Tiling certificate is preferred but training will be provided.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices within a site environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and method statements.
- Experience working with tools and equipment relevant to the role.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to changing work demands.
- Aware of quality standards and environmental considerations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently where required.
Pay Basic: £15.24 to £16.87 (Dayshift Mon - Fri 07:30 - 16:00 - 38 hours) OT1: £19.81 to £21.93 (Mon - Fri 16:00 - 24:00)
