The Role
We are currently seeking an IRATA Level 3 Technician / Project Engineer to support works at Dartford. This is a night-shift position working on a major highways and structures asset, overseeing rope access activities at height. The role involves supervision and inspection duties associated with rope access painting and structural inspection works, operating at heights of 150-200 metres.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support rope access activities on site
- Supervision of painting works to cable trays
- Inspect structural elements and identify defects on the bridge
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with site and industry standards
- Liaise with site management and report findings as required
Project Environment
- Major highways structure Dartford
- Night works only (Sunday-Thursday)
- Working at significant heights (150-200m)
- Established management structure including Framework and Project Management support
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Highways, Structures, or Civil Engineering environments
- Comfortable working at height on large-scale infrastructure
- Experience supervising or overseeing rope access works
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Essential Qualifications
- IRATA Level 3 certification (mandatory)
- CSCS Card
- Relevant experience within highways or bridge structures
Desirable
- Previous experience on major infrastructure projects
- Background working on bridges or complex structures
