The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.
Onsite 1-2 days per month. Due to the nature of the work involved, candidates must hold an Active SC clearance.
The role holder will be responsible for working with the Squad Leads, Business Engagement Leads and Stakeholders to translate demands/requirements into work packages that can then be delivered within agreed time and cost whilst maintaining agile principles. They will have the ability to adapt these plans in line with prioritisation of demand. The role involves working on a broad range of complex activities, in a variety of contexts, investigating, defining and resolving complex issues, and assisting in other areas of IT process, service and project.
Core Duties:
- Reporting to the SharePoint Squad Lead, the SharePoint Engineer will work under the technical guidance of the SharePoint Technical Lead to deliver and support Enterprise SharePoint.
- Work alongside the Business Engagement Leads and fellow SharePoint Engineers to maintain a close working relationship between the EIT SharePoint Product team and its stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal customers across all UK Business to capture requirements for Business as Usual improvements to their SharePoint deployments, developing innovative solutions and delivering against agreed work packages while ensuring all SharePoint deployments and developments adhere to internal Governance.
- Attend workshops with customers and other key stakeholders to capture requirements for configuration changes, providing regular demos and gathering feedback.
- Contribute to discussions and generate new ideas around how to break down requests and deliver value early and often throughout the process, sharing knowledge with other members of the SharePoint Product Team.
- Support project teams in the upgrade of SharePoint to future versions, working closely with customers, partners and suppliers to effectively and efficiently migrate content from different SharePoint Versions.
- Utilise methods, tools, techniques selecting appropriately from plan-driven/predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches.
- Deal with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.
- Collect and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management.
- Assist in the development of new or improved practices and organisational processes or standards and facilitate localised improvements to the quality system or services.
- Design, create, develop, customise and maintain learning materials and resources to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Contribute to the design, configuration and testing of environments.
- Have a solid understanding of their capability and be considered professionally competent in discharging the role without significant supervision.
- Use advanced analysis and diagnostic techniques to get to root cause.
- Carry out communication to senior stakeholders and suppliers.
- Benchmark and review improved ways of working within IT.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to meet their requirements, including one-to-one liaison and setting expectations.
- Interact effectively and confidently with Business Customers, IT Management and Vendors.
- Demonstrate the natural ability to work in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
- Understand the global needs of SharePoint Product.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to tell stories, draw pictures and document the performance of the team effectively.
- Take on a lead role, provide consultancy advice and guidance and manage through to completion any functional projects and activities.
- Demonstrate advanced Problem Analysis/Problem Solving methodologies.
- Apply technical strategies, policies, standards and practices within own area of responsibility.
- Own specific work areas and coach and mentor others.
- Have a detailed understanding of Incident & Problem management and work on the most complex issues with no need for supervision or support.
Knowledge:
- Best practice application management in line with ITIL Processes.
- Experience of working with multiple versions of SharePoint.
- An understanding of application development and promotion into multiple environments.
- Awareness of business unit policies and procedures.
- Experience managing Stakeholders.
- Experience of using 3rd party tools such as Nintex, K2, Sharegate, Linkfixer.
Qualifications:
- Ideally trained at least to ITIL foundation and either appropriate ITIL Intermediate or other appropriate capability training (desirable).
- Microsoft MS900 (Mandatory), AZ900 (Desirable).
