Our client, a materials and aggregates provider is seeking an organised Contract Coordinator in Loughborough, to help provide administration support across their team. The position will entail working with a wider project team to ensure projects are planned out and delivered to schedule, including resource planning, plant and material allocation and updated systems to track cost and spend.
The applicable individual will be used to working within the Construction sector or similar, assisting with the organisation of site labour, materials and plant, ideally within a surfacing and civil engineering environment. The role is set to last for 4+ months, although it is likely that this could be extended and we are able to offer a start in August.
Daily duties will include but are not limited to:
- Working with Project Teams and multiple stakeholders to plan and coordinate construction activities
- Allocating resources and updating plans to help track and control cost and programmes
- Managing and updating systems such as SAP systems
- Raising and processing orders for plant, repairs and maintenance, alongside a commercial team
- Providing telephone support between the project team and external suppliers
Candidates will ideally:
- Have worked in a similar Contract Coordinator role previously
- Be used to working within a construction environment, helping organise labour, materials and plant
- Be I.T proficient (use of systems like Causeway or SAP advantageous)
- Be used to working in a collaborative teams environment
- Strong organisational skills, with good attention to detail
- Good communication skills, able to work as part of a team, and with external suppliers
- Effective telephone communication skills
