Morson Edge is recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering consultancy for experienced Civil Water Engineers to join a talented, multidisciplinary design team delivering major infrastructure projects for UK Water market clients. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, working on landmark engineering projects across the UK and internationally. The role offers exposure to projects throughout the full lifecycle, including client-side and construction-phase support. The Role You will coordinate or manage a team of Civil Water Engineers delivering technical design work across complex, multidisciplinary projects. Your experience may cover areas including hydraulics, wastewater, clean water infrastructure, water reuse and pipelines , working to national and project-specific design codes and standards. You will produce and review technical deliverables, provide technical input across Civil Water aspects of projects and work alongside project management teams to manage programmes, budgets and key milestones. Key Responsibilities Coordinate or manage teams of Civil Water Engineers on complex multidisciplinary projects. Produce and review technical deliverables, including design reports, drawings, calculations and scopes of work. Provide technical input into Civil Water design deliverables. Manage time, budgets and deliverables against key project milestones. Collaborate with client, operational, project and service teams across the wider business. Mentor less experienced colleagues and support the development of Civil Water engineering capability. Work independently with minimal technical guidance, exercising professional judgement on complex problems. Provide technical input into bid proposals. Work with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. Maintain high quality assurance standards, including checking and reviewing your own and others' work. What You'll Need Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer status preferred. Proven experience coordinating or managing Civil Water engineering design teams. Experience working within a multidisciplinary design environment. Proven experience collaborating with contractors and delivering across the full project lifecycle. Strong knowledge and practical experience of risk assessment, quality control and design management. Experience collaborating with disciplines including MEICA, structures and geotechnics . Practical knowledge of current design codes, standards and industry best practice. Understanding of CDM Regulations, Eurocodes, regulatory requirements, water utility standards and NEC . Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance. Experience within the Water market is essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork and project delivery. Contract Details 12-month contract , with potential for extension Β£50-Β£69 per hour PAYE 37.5 hours per week Hybrid working – 3 days per week office/site based National role Priority locations: Epsom, London, Peterborough and Cambridge What's on Offer Opportunity to work on major UK Water infrastructure programmes.
