Morson Edge is recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering consultancy for experienced Civil Pipeline Engineers to join a talented, multidisciplinary design team delivering cutting-edge infrastructure projects for major UK Water market clients.

The Role
You will coordinate or manage a team of Civil Pipeline Engineers delivering technical design work on complex, multidisciplinary projects to national and project-specific design codes and standards.
You will produce and review technical deliverables, provide technical input across the Civil Pipeline aspects of projects, and work closely with the project management team to manage time and budgets against key milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate or manage a team of Civil Pipeline Engineers on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Produce and review technical deliverables, including design reports, drawings, calculations and scopes of work.
- Provide technical input into Civil Pipeline design deliverables.
- Manage time and budgets against key project milestones.
- Collaborate with client, operational, project and service teams across the wider business.
- Mentor less experienced colleagues and support the growth of Civil Pipeline Engineering capability.
- Work independently with minimal technical guidance, exercising judgement on difficult problems.
- Support bid proposals with technical input.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards, including checking and reviewing your own and others' work.
What You'll Need
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer status.
- Proven experience coordinating or managing a Civil Pipeline engineering design delivery team within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in pipeline design, including:
- Construction
- Rehabilitation
- Condition assessment
- Commissioning
- Operation and maintenance
- Practical knowledge of current UK and international design codes, standards and best practice, including CDM Regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance.
- Proficiency in relevant digital analysis packages, such as HADES and Varism, following local and national guidance.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly across diverse teams.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork and project delivery.
Contract Details
- 12-month contract, with potential for extension.
- Β£50 - Β£69 per hour PAYE.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Hybrid working β 3 days per week office/site based.
- National role.
- Priority locations: Epsom, London, Peterborough and Cambridge.
