NEC4 Supervisor (Build) Location: BAE, Christchurch, Dorset 5 days per week Hours: Full time on-site (08.00 - 17.00 Mon - Fri) Rate: Β£450 - Β£600 p/d Duration: 12 months *As this role requires SC Clearance, candidates must be sole UK Nationals* The NEC4 Supervisor is responsible for carrying out the duties of the Supervisor as defined within the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC). The role ensures that the works are constructed in accordance with the Scope, specified quality requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable standards. The Supervisor acts impartially in administering the contract and provides assurance that materials, workmanship, testing, and completed works comply with project requirements. Perform the duties and exercise the powers of the Supervisor under the NEC4 contract. β’ Administer contractual processes relating to inspections, tests, defects, and quality compliance via CEMAR β’ Maintain records required under the NEC4 contract. β’ Support the Project Manager in contract administration and project delivery. Quality Assurance & Compliance β’ Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with the Scope, specifications, standards, drawings, and statutory requirements. β’ Review and witness inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance activities. β’ Verify that materials and workmanship meet contract requirements. β’ Assess corrective actions and confirm close-out of quality issues. β’ Undertake regular site inspections and audits. β’ Witness hold points, inspections, factory acceptance tests (FATs), site acceptance tests (SATs), and commissioning activities. β’ Instruct tests and inspections as permitted under the contract. β’ Review test results and quality documentation submitted by the Contractor. β’ Monitor compliance with project HSE requirements. β’ Report unsafe practices and support corrective actions. β’ Participate in site safety inspections and investigations where required. β’ Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, Contractor, Client representatives, designers, regulators, and other stakeholders. β’ Attend contract, progress, quality, and coordination meetings. β’ Provide clear and timely communication on quality and compliance matters β’ Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, tests, and site observations. β’ Produce weekly and monthly reports on quality performance and compliance. β’ Support project audits and assurance reviews. β’ Timely identification and management of defects. β’ Accurate maintenance of inspection and quality records. β’ Delivery of quality assurance objectives without impacting project progress. Qualifications/Experience: Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related discipline. CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS where applicable). Full driving licence. Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial projects. Demonstrated experience of site inspection, quality assurance, and defects management. Experience working on major capital projects.
