An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join a growing and fast-paced organisation on a temporary basis for roughly 3 months with the possibility of extension. This position will support managers and employees across a broad range of HR activities, with a particular focus on HR systems, reporting, employee relations, and process improvement.
Working as part of a collaborative People team, the successful candidate will provide practical HR guidance, maintain accurate people data, support payroll and recruitment processes, and help drive continuous improvement across HR operations. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, systems-focused, analytical, and confident building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Support employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance cases.
- Assist with investigations, formal meetings, and related documentation.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with current employment legislation.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately where required.
- Maintain and update employee records within the HR system, ensuring high levels of accuracy and data integrity.
- Produce regular HR reports, metrics, and people insights to support decision-making.
- Analyse workforce data and identify trends relating to absence, turnover, headcount, and other people measures.
- Support continuous improvement of HR systems, reporting processes, and data quality.
- Assist with system administration, reporting functionality, and process automation where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal data governance requirements.
- Support recruitment and onboarding administration across the employee lifecycle.
- Prepare employment-related documentation including contracts, letters, and amendments.
- Assist with payroll administration and liaise with internal stakeholders and external providers where necessary.
- Support new starter processes, induction coordination, and employee record management.
- Maintain HR documentation, templates, and internal communications.
- Support organisational change initiatives and people-related projects.
- Contribute to process reviews and improvements across HR operations.
- Assist with annual HR activities including salary reviews, performance processes, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Promote a positive employee experience and support continuous improvement across the People function.
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards qualification.
- Experience using HR systems.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience producing and analysing HR reports and data.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Exposure to payroll processes and administration.
- Experience supporting HR systems improvements or process optimisation initiatives.
