Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Water Softener Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and installation of a wide range of water softening equipment, including Fleck, Clack, Harveys, and Autotrol systems. This role involves visiting client sites, diagnosing faults, carrying out preventative maintenance, and ensuring installations are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and install water softeners and filtration systems (domestic and commercial).
- Diagnose and repair faults on a range of systems, including Fleck, Clack, Harveys, and Autotrol.
- Perform routine maintenance and system checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers.
- Complete job reports, service documentation, and communicate effectively with the office team.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience servicing and installing water softeners (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Fleck, Clack, Harveys, and Autotrol systems.
- Basic plumbing and electrical skills essential.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing, Mechanical, or Water Treatment discipline.
- Experience with RO (reverse osmosis) and filtration systems.
- Water hygiene or Legionella awareness training (advantageous).
