Warrington, Cheshire, full-time, 37-hours per week, hybrid working. Competitive Salary + Benefits. Full time / Permanent. Security Clearance - The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check BPSS / SC clearance for this role.

Our client is working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Electrical Designer at our Warrington, Cheshire site.

The role:

  • As an Electrical Designer, you'll play a key role in their Nuclear business.
  • From decommissioning redundant facilities to supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent and the development of nuclear power stations, we help clean up the nuclear legacy and shape a future where nuclear energy supports national security, energy resilience, and net zero goals.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Create electrical design solutions and deliverables across the full lifecycle, from concept to in-service support.
  • Produce and maintain drawings and documentation to ISO standards, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.
  • Collaborate effectively with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure coordinated and functional designs.
  • Support design reviews, resolve technical queries, and contribute to innovative solutions for manufacturing and installation challenges.
  • Assist senior designers with estimates, quality improvements, and test documentation, while staying informed on industry developments.

Essential experience of the Electrical Designer:

  • Knowledge of CAD tools - AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.

Qualifications of the Electrical Designer:

  • ONC/HNC/HND (or equivalent) OR BTEC National Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) OR appropriate apprenticeship of specialisation.
