We are looking for a Structural Designer to be based in Warrington on a hybrid basis. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges. BPSS clearance is required for this role.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivering design work, inspections and construction site support on a major infrastructure project.
  • Concept and Feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
  • Analysis and Design using engineering software such as STAAD, Tekla and TEDDS as well as producing hand calculations.
  • Preparation of Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter-discipline design coordination and supervision.
  • Assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical and professional development.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • A degree qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil / Structural Engineer.
  • Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
  • Knowledge of seismic design requirements for waste storage / processing plant.
  • Knowledge and use of BIM packages.
  • Experience in preparation of deliverables for early-stage constructability assessments and HAZOPs.
  • Knowledge of structural aspects of underground/above ground services diversions.
