RF Engineer Hybrid Working Greater Manchester Circa £50K pa + excellent benefits We have a brand new role for an RF Engineer / Microwave Engineer, to join our client's multidisciplinary NPI team on a permanent basis.

This role will suit an engineer who enjoys getting hands-on, solving complex problems and seeing their designs become real products.

Key Responsibilities
Design new RF electronics and amplifiers and take designs from concept through implementation, troubleshooting and documentation.

Deliver complete RF hardware development, including circuit architecture, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout and BOM creation.

Perform RF measurements and characterisation of modules, circuits and components.

Collect accurate, conclusive test data and turn it into clear engineering conclusions and actionable improvements.

Analyse experimental data and use evidence-based engineering to guide design decisions.

Troubleshoot existing and legacy RF designs, identifying root causes and opportunities for improvement.

Provide hands-on technical support to production, collaborating with operators and technicians to solve problems and remove barriers to success.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while working effectively to demanding deadlines.

Skills / Experience Required BSc or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Practical experience working within an NPI, product development or manufacturing engineering environment.

Demonstrated experience taking an electronic design from concept through development and into production.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with everyone from experienced engineers to non-technical production staff.

Strong knowledge of HF/VHF semiconductors, RF components and their manufacturers.

Understanding of Class C, D and E amplifier operation.

Experience with high-frequency PCB design techniques and RF layout.

Experience designing high-power discrete-component matching networks.

Understanding of FCC/CE testing and certification requirements.
