About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Mould Shop Manager, you will play a key role in supporting production through safe and efficient tool changes, machine setting, process optimisation, and basic maintenance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician with strong injection moulding experience who enjoys problem-solving and working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out tool changes safely and efficiently to production schedules.
- Set and optimise injection moulding machines to achieve production targets.
- Troubleshoot process and machine issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Perform basic machine and tool maintenance, including insert changes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and waste reduction.
- Support production operations to maximise output and efficiency.
- Mix materials and prepare machinery for production runs.
- Ensure accurate data capture and reporting of setting performance.
- Lead and support a small team of operators when required.
- Deliver training and guidance to team members as needed.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience working as an Injection Moulding Technician, Setter or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes.
- Relevant setting qualifications.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable:
- Experience of machine conditioning, maintenance and process optimisation.
- Experience working with a wide range of materials.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
