Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts 6:00am - 2:30pm, 2:00pm - 10:30pm

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Mould Shop Manager, you will play a key role in supporting production through safe and efficient tool changes, machine setting, process optimisation, and basic maintenance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician with strong injection moulding experience who enjoys problem-solving and working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out tool changes safely and efficiently to production schedules.
  • Set and optimise injection moulding machines to achieve production targets.
  • Troubleshoot process and machine issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Perform basic machine and tool maintenance, including insert changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Support production operations to maximise output and efficiency.
  • Mix materials and prepare machinery for production runs.
  • Ensure accurate data capture and reporting of setting performance.
  • Lead and support a small team of operators when required.
  • Deliver training and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience working as an Injection Moulding Technician, Setter or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes.
  • Relevant setting qualifications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience of machine conditioning, maintenance and process optimisation.
  • Experience working with a wide range of materials.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
