Morson Edge are proud to be supporting Sizewell C (SZC) in the recruitment of a talented Change Engineer to join one of the UK's most high-profile and transformative infrastructure programmes. If you're looking to step into a role where your work directly contributes to the UK's Net Zero ambitions, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a nationally significant nuclear new build project. Building on the success of Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C will deliver reliable, low-carbon electricity to around six million homes for decades to come-and you could play a key role in making that happen.
The Opportunity
Working within the Programme Management Office (PMO), and reporting into the Baseline & Change Lead, you'll be at the heart of SZC's change governance framework. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring that all project changes-across scope, cost, schedule, and risk-are effectively managed, controlled, and aligned to approved baselines. You'll collaborate closely with Project Controls Managers, Change Managers, and delivery teams, acting as a key interface to ensure change is identified early, assessed rigorously, and implemented in line with established governance processes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as a central point of contact for change management across the programme, coordinating activities and ensuring adherence to governance frameworks.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of SZC's change management processes, including preparation for Investment Change Committee (ICC) forums.
- Work cross-functionally to integrate inputs from cost, schedule, and risk teams, enabling robust end-to-end baseline management.
- Facilitate change requests, ensuring they are progressed through the appropriate governance stages efficiently and accurately.
- Contribute to regular reporting cycles, supporting the production of monthly Baseline & Change reports and maintaining high-quality data standards.
- Provide guidance and support to Project Managers, Change Owners, and supply chain partners on change control procedures and best practice.
- Assist in the facilitation of ICC meetings, ensuring materials are prepared and governance requirements are met.
- Monitor the quality of change submissions, driving consistency and continuous improvement across the programme.
- Deliver training and support to stakeholders to embed effective change management practices.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with individuals who bring a solid foundation in project, programme, controls, or commercial disciplines, ideally within large-scale infrastructure or regulated environments. You'll likely have:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.
- A strong understanding of change control and baseline management within complex programmes.
- Familiarity with project structures such as WBS and CBS, alongside broader project controls principles.
- Experience working within structured governance environments, ideally involving large, multi-disciplinary teams.
- The ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, with strong facilitation and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Desirable experience includes exposure to major infrastructure programmes, knowledge of contract frameworks, and experience with project management tools and reporting platforms such as Power BI.
Why Apply?
This is more than just a job-it's a chance to be part of a landmark project that will shape the UK's energy future. Through Morson Edge's partnership with SZC, you'll gain access to a collaborative environment, long-term career prospects, and the opportunity to contribute to a programme of national importance. If you're ready to take the next step in your career and want to be part of something truly impactful, we'd love to hear from you.
