We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Architectural Technician to join an established, design-led practice. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys the "nuts and bolts" of architecture—turning creative concepts into precise, buildable technical packages. You will work across a diverse portfolio, ranging from high-end residential developments to commercial and retail projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Delivery: Lead the production of detailed drawing packages, including construction details, sections, and specifications.
  • Planning & Regulations: Prepare and manage planning applications and ensure all designs strictly adhere to current UK Building Regulations.
  • BIM & Drafting: Utilise Revit and AutoCAD to produce high-quality 2D and 3D models.
  • Coordination: Liaise with external consultants (structural engineers, M&E) and local authorities to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Site Support: Conduct site surveys and attend progress meetings to ensure works on-site align with the technical intent.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Qualifications: A degree or HND in Architectural Technology or a closely related field.
  • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit and BIM workflows is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of modern construction methods, material performance, and building physics.
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to clients and contractors.
