CAD Manager required to work for Principal Contractor JV on the High Speed Rail London Tunnels Programme. 12 Month Contract initially - Inside IR35. Based at London Euston, hybrid working arrangements in place.
CAD Manager role brief:
- This role is responsible for production, management, and coordination of CAD information through Bentley ProjectWise to assure alignment with the client's requirements.
- The CAD Manager is responsible for coordination, assurance, and implementation of CAD standards and the BIM Execution Plan.
- Assurance of CAD quality, and reporting of CAD quality issues in engagement with subcontractors.
- Management of CAD information in line with the Works and Asset Breakdown Structure (WBS and ABS).
- Support the development and maintenance of the CAD Standards and CAD QA rules for construction information within Bentley ProjectWise.
- Strong understanding of the IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) standard and implementation of schemas for IFC deliverables.
- Management of methods for conversion, validation, and verification of IFC4, as well as alternative exchange file formats such as iDGN.
- Bentley ProjectWise CAD quality implementation and setup.
- Management and configuration of OpenBuildings Designer data groups, project libraries, and schedules within Bentley ProjectWise.
- Production of 3D models and drawings using Bentley Open Buildings Designer, Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D within the ProjectWise environment, and providing support where required.
- Support the creation of suited construction and as-built BIM models and drawings based on asset owner requirements, standards and specifications.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experienced in Bentley OpenBuildings Designer, ProjectWise, and Autodesk Revit.
- Sustained commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Certified Bentley software professional.
- Solid knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise administration.
- Experience across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Experience in 3D CAD production on civil engineering projects.
- Good understanding of BIM principles as per PAS 1192 and ISO 19650.
- Experience of working within large infrastructure project environments.
