Working within a leading multidisciplinary engineering and infrastructure organisation, you'll play a key role in delivering next-generation, value-added solutions across sectors including water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear, and food & beverage.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Lead Control Systems Engineer, you will work on complex control system projects and take responsibility for leading engineering delivery. You'll collaborate closely with project teams to ensure milestones are met and high-quality solutions are delivered. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the workload and progress of the control systems team
- Translating user requirements and existing software into efficient, modern control systems
- PLC and SCADA configuration, including development of HMI logic
- Bench testing software in a hybrid working environment (office and home)
- Supporting on-site commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), working directly with stakeholders to ensure successful system go-live
- Supporting the full lifecycle of control system projects from concept through to delivery
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience in PLC & HMI software development using at least two platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Schneider)
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols including EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS DP/PA, and Modbus TCP/IP
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems
- Experience working with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety and safe working practices
- A proactive approach to health and safety, leading by example
- Experience delivering complex or site-wide integrations and leading engineering teams
