Morson Edge are recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker (Stretch Form) to join a leading Aerospace manufacturing environment based in Burnley. This role sits within a specialist sheet metal team, producing high-quality aircraft components using stretch forming and associated fabrication techniques.
The Role
- You will work with materials such as aluminium, steel and titanium, forming and shaping components to engineering drawings, templates and fixtures.
- The role requires a strong understanding of sheet metal processes and a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Stretch forming of aircraft sheet metal components
- Marking out, cutting and forming materials to specification
- Working to engineering drawings, templates and work instructions
- Using hand tools and mechanical aids including presses and forming equipment
- Ensuring work is completed to quality and safety standards
- Maintaining good housekeeping and safe systems of work
Skills & Experience Required
- Time-served apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work or similar discipline
- Experience working in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of sheet metal forming processes
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately
- High levels of attention to detail and workmanship
