Service & Applications Engineer A family-owned, high-tech engineering company headquartered in Germany is seeking to expand its UK and Ireland service team. The company is a European market leader in high-precision tool holders for the metalworking industry and a global leader in tool shrinking, balancing, and presetting technologies. With approximately 800 employees worldwide, the company is known for its strong engineering expertise and commitment to quality.The Role We are currently looking for a Service & Applications Engineer to support customers across the UK and Ireland . This is a home-based role involving extensive travel and close collaboration with sales and technical teams.You will be responsible for supporting the full product portfolio, with a strong focus on machine installations, applications support, and customer training, both before and after sales.Key Responsibilities Installation and commissioning of machines at customer sitesDelivering customer training and application supportPerforming service visits, software updates, and preventative maintenanceProviding technical support remotely and on-siteHandling technical sales enquiries and supporting the sales team with technical expertiseActing as a key technical interface between customers and internal teamsYour Profile Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification (preferred)Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CNC machine tool serviceExperience with machine installations, applications, customer training, and maintenanceAbility to work independently and manage tasks proactivelyStrong PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointFluent in written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantageDetail-oriented, well organised, and a strong team playerWillingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and IrelandWhat We Offer Salary £35,000 – £40,000 per year (depending on experience)Company car included, available for private useA challenging and varied role in a leading high-tech engineering companyHome-office-based position within the UKFull product training and long-term career development opportunitiesLocation Home office in the UK , with regular travel across the UK and IrelandInterested?Candidates with relevant experience and qualifications are invited to submit a full application in English, including a cover letter, CV, relevant certificates, and salary expectations.
