A leading NHS organisation in the North West is looking for a Head of Procurement to take ownership of a £250m non-pay spend function at a pivotal point in its development. This is a hands-on leadership role - strategy, people, delivery, with a genuine career path for the right candidate.
You will lead a team to drive savings and commercial performance across a complex, multi-site environment.
What You'll Do
- Set and deliver the procurement strategy
- Lead and develop a high-performing team
- Drive savings and value across a large spend portfolio
- Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and NHS procurement legislation
- Manage national partnerships — NHS Supply Chain, CCS and collaborative partners
- Engage at Director and Board level across the organisation
- Oversee contract management, systems and supply chain service lines
What You'll Bring
- Senior procurement leadership experience — NHS, public sector or equivalent
- A track record of delivering savings and building strong teams
- Sound knowledge of public procurement law and NHS frameworks
- Board-level stakeholder management experience
- MCIPS / FCIPS or equivalent by experience
