Morson Edge is working with a key organisation within the UK nuclear sector to recruit a Waste Engineer / SMLO for a long-term contract based at Winfrith in Dorset. This role offers the opportunity to support critical site operations within a highly regulated environment, contributing to the safe and compliant delivery of waste management activities across a major decommissioning programme.
The Role
- Provide technical and operational support to ensure waste management services are delivered in line with project objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Support the planning and execution of waste management activities on site.
- Provide technical input into waste handling, storage, and disposal processes.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support project delivery to agreed scope, time, and quality requirements.
- Maintain awareness of industry developments and apply relevant improvements.
About You
- Experience in waste management within a nuclear or highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
