Morson Edge are currently supporting a leading national property and planning consultancy to recruit an RTPI-qualified Planner / Senior Planner to join their established Planning team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative team working on a diverse portfolio of major development schemes across the South West. The practice has a strong reputation for delivering strategic planning advice across regeneration, residential, mixed-use, commercial and infrastructure-led projects.

This role offers genuine project ownership, client exposure, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced senior leaders on complex and high-profile developments. You will be embedded within project teams and act as a key point of contact for clients, contributing directly to the delivery of planning strategies from early feasibility through to consent and delivery stages.

You will play a central role in supporting and leading planning projects, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across planning, design and development teams. The role offers strong exposure to the full development lifecycle and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships while developing technical and commercial expertise.

  • Support and/or lead planning applications, appeals and site appraisals
  • Prepare high-quality planning reports, statements and supporting documents
  • Contribute to planning strategies for a range of development types
  • Support consultation processes and engagement with local authorities
  • Assist senior team members on complex and strategic planning projects

Degree in Town Planning or related discipline

Experience within a consultancy or local authority planning environment

Strong understanding of the UK planning system and policy framework

Experience across residential, regeneration, mixed-use or infrastructure projects

Exposure to planning committees or public consultation processes

Experience supporting or leading planning applications in a consultancy setting

Competitive salary dependent on experience
