Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Integration Engineer to join the RSAF Tornado Engineering team supporting the ongoing operational capability of the Royal Saudi Air Force Tornado fleet. Working within an established engineering team, you will play a key role in integrating technical activities across Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) programmes, ensuring engineering solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme objectives. The role will involve regular engagement with customers and stakeholders, including occasional overseas travel to Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering integration activities across AGE projects and programmes.
- Develop engineering management plans, technical reviews, risk registers, and decision records.
- Work closely with systems, safety, security, human factors, and technical management teams to ensure engineering coherence.
- Support engineering planning, governance, and programme milestone delivery.
- Assess and technically evaluate supplier and stakeholder AGE solutions.
- Manage engineering risks, opportunities, and critical programme features.
- Produce high-quality engineering artefacts and status reports.
- Engage with customers, partners, and external stakeholders, including the Ministry of Defence and RSAF.
- Support customer-facing acceptance activities, technical reviews, and engineering meetings both in the UK and overseas.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years engineering experience within the defence aerospace sector.
- Strong understanding of engineering processes, standards, governance, and quality management.
- Systems engineering mindset with the ability to integrate multiple technical disciplines.
- Experience managing engineering risks, reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent relevant engineering experience.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including Saudi Arabia, and support week-long programme activities when required.
Desirable Experience
- Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) lifecycle support experience.
- Equipment trials, acceptance activities, and trial reporting.
- Tornado aircraft or related military aviation experience.
- Logistics support engineering experience.
