Our client is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join its busy team in South East/East Sussex. The role will focus on commercial automatic gates, barriers, access control systems, and associated infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to join a growing business, taking ownership of projects from order through to completion while managing engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple gate, barrier and access control projects simultaneously.
- Oversee installation, service and maintenance contracts from inception to completion.
- Plan labour resources and coordinate directly employed engineers and subcontractors.
- Conduct site surveys, client meetings and project progress reviews.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Review and manage project programmes, RAMS and contractual documentation.
- Monitor project costs, variations and profitability.
- Ensure commissioning, testing and handover processes are completed correctly.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and identify opportunities for additional works.
- Drive compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Support operational improvement and business growth initiatives.
Requirements:
- Relevant industry experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office and IT skills.
Also Desirable:
- CSCS Card.
- Gate Safe Certification.
- DHF Automated Gate Training.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- IOSH or NEBOSH.
- First Aid.
- ECS Card.
- HSG47 Training.
The ideal applicants will be self-sufficient, whilst also working well in a team. You will have good industry/sector relevant experience across Project, Operations or Contracts management.
