A growing and fast-paced business is looking for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to support two key operational areas during a period of significant expansion. This role will partner closely with senior operational leaders across Fuel Cards and Estates Development, providing commercial insight, financial challenge, and decision support across a £10m+ P&L.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:
- Full ownership of Fuel Cards and Truckstop P&Ls, driving margin performance and overhead control
- Weekly forecasting, budgeting, reforecasting, and variance analysis
- Deliver monthly management accounts, KPI reporting, and performance reviews
- Support commercial growth through financial modelling, pricing analysis, and business cases
- Partner with sales teams to improve volume, margin, and commercial decision making
- Lead financial input into acquisitions, tenders, and investment proposals
- Manage working capital performance, including stock and debtors
- Work closely with central finance teams to ensure accurate and robust reporting
- Support operational improvements, controls, and process efficiencies
- Provide commercial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders across the business
The successful candidate will be:
- Qualified accountant, ACA or CIMA
- Strong finance business partnering experience within a commercial environment
- Experienced with forecasting, financial modelling, and management reporting
- Confident handling large and complex data sets
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence decision making
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Experience within fuel, logistics, distribution, or multi-site operations would be beneficial
