12-month initial contract Cambuslang/hybrid style working. SP Energy Networks is part of the Scottish Power Group of companies. We provide power on behalf of supply companies through a network of cables and power lines that we own and maintain. We do it responsibly, with respect for people and for the environment, looking at the long term, not just today, and innovatively. We are dedicated to delivering a safe and reliable electricity supply to all our customers 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

The successful applicant will lead and manage a variety of strategic improvement and transformation initiatives aligned with the pursuit of our Strategic Plans, specifically related to the Transmission part of our business. You will enhance SP Energy Networks as an organisation and our customers' experience, extracting the maximum value from business opportunities presented in the fulfilment of our regulatory obligations through RIIO-T2 and RIIO-T3 price control periods.

You will lead on SPT project activities leveraging subject matter experts in the business to:

  • Define current alignment between business process steps and digital solutions used.
  • Document TO-BE business processes and supporting systems to be used.
  • Carry out change impact assessments for all proposed system changes & develop change roadmap.
  • Adopt Change Management / Prosci principles to support the business.
  • Work with business areas to define business case / needs case for each digital solution and create CBAs.

  • Drive strategic change in the organisation to achieve SPEN strategic goals.
  • Run workshops in line with new business model.
  • Document and map new business processes.
  • Lead assigned projects to successful delivery and achievement of benefits.
  • Build relationships and manage stakeholders throughout the organisation.
  • Lead and coach continuous improvement to improve business results.
  • Champion innovation & look for opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Facilitate and role model change supporting strategic business goals.
  • Operate with agility to adapt to changing situations & business demands quickly.
  • Lead people side of change using Prosci Change Management framework.
  • Identify, establish, and monitor performance measures to validate success.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to maintain support and buy-in.
  • Develop Business Cases and identify key performance tracking metrics.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Business change/transformation management experience ideally within utilities or similar industry.
  • 2B knowledge and experience.
  • Experience within delivering workshops on new business processes.
  • Previously accredited or willing to work towards certifications as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Prosci Change Practitioner, and Agile Scrum Master.
  • Knowledge and experience of a Transmission business and BIM solution preferable.
  • Proven ability to implement change in a complex multi-national organisation.
  • Able to set stretch goals & deadlines aligned with business and customer priorities.

  • Able to undertake occasional travel to other SP Energy Networks locations.
  • Degree qualified in Business, Engineering, Technical or related discipline or minimum 5 years related business experience.
