We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to oversee trenching and surveying operations across sites between Bedford and Cambridge. This is a client-facing role, requiring a professional individual who can represent the business positively while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and delivery.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for supervising groundworkers and surveying teams carrying out trench works, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise teams of 4–10 operatives across various disciplines
  • Oversee trenching and surveying works on site
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Act as a professional point of contact with the client
  • Coordinate daily site activities to meet programme deadlines
  • Uphold high standards of workmanship and site discipline
  • Provide regular progress updates to site management

Working Hours

Monday to Friday – Day shifts 07:00 – 17:00 (9.5 hours paid per day, 30-minute break). Some weekend work required (overtime paid).
