Pay: £15.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary – seven working days

Hours: Full-time, office-based – minimum 37.5 hours per week

Morson Talent is recruiting for a Receptionist / Office Administrator to provide short-term cover at a professional corporate office in Birmingham city centre. The successful candidate must be available for all seven working days listed below:

  • Wednesday 26 August
  • Thursday 27 August
  • Friday 28 August
  • Tuesday 1 September
  • Wednesday 2 September
  • Thursday 3 September
  • Friday 4 September

The first three days will provide a full handover and induction before independently covering the reception and office support function from 1–4 September.

Key responsibilities:

  • Welcoming visitors and providing a professional reception service
  • Managing visitor arrivals, departures and daily visitor lists
  • Monitoring the office inbox and responding to or escalating queries
  • Answering incoming telephone calls
  • Allocating employee parking spaces
  • Sorting incoming post, parcels and deliveries
  • Coordinating collections and unpacking office deliveries
  • Placing grocery, stationery and general office orders
  • Setting up meeting rooms and arranging refreshments
  • Keeping kitchens, meeting rooms and communal areas presentable
  • Supporting the wider team with general administration
  • Handling ad hoc office queries and tasks as required

About you:

  • Previous reception, administration or office support experience
  • Professional, approachable and confident when dealing with visitors
  • Comfortable managing telephone calls, emails and general queries
  • Organised with good attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and manage changing priorities
  • Available to work all seven dates listed above
