Within the Wing Plant Engineering Team (PET) we are looking to recruit a Wide Body Incremental Design Integrator, responsible for supporting the Head Of multi aircrafts Continuous Product Development & Incremental Development. The successful applicant must have a design background, as they will support technical design investigations within the team for improvement projects, and will act as the main interface for the team to the key stakeholders - namely the Operations management teams, and key engineering stakeholders. They will be required to manage the generation of appropriate design improvements with the Operational teams, and will be responsible for managing the delivery of the projects, either via internal resource, or via alternative sources such as engineering offload suppliers.

Whilst this role is technical, the key strength of the successful candidate will be the ability to project manage deliverables, and establish key relationships with management teams. This will enable the individual to communicate to the Operational teams the progress of the projects, provide updates, and manage any changes to the delivery plan accordingly, in a challenging environment. The successful candidate will be a key player in the team and will use and enhance various skills (technical, project management, communication etc.) to help shape the prioritisation and delivery of activities with the team. The role will provide an excellent opportunity for a committed person to further develop their technical and leadership skills in a positive and supportive team environment. They will also develop relationships with functions such as Manufacturing Engineering, to promote a true co-design ethos.

  • Tangible Deliverables to Time, Cost and Quality:
    • Lead improvement projects and activities through the LBIP process, ensuring the technical solutions are right first time.
    • Act as the main interface between Engineering and Operations, ensuring co-design solutions which are suitable for the industrial system whilst maintaining an engineering, and most importantly, a customer perspective.
    • Provide proactive product improvements that support modifications to reduce Recurring Costs, Non-Recurring Costs, Disruption and Non-Conformances.
    • Support and/or lead initiatives to further enhance team efficiency and effectiveness through application of methods, tools, processes and/or other capability improvements.
