Site Manager – Modular Installation

Location: Near Bedford (MK45)
Contract Type: Freelance
Duration: Approximately 11 days starting 20th July 2026
Daily Rate: £280 - £300 per day (CIS or Umbrella)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee an 11-bay modular installation project near Bedford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of the modular units within the project timeframe. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills to manage subcontractors, maintain site safety, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The Site Manager will act as the primary on-site contact, driving quality control and timely completion of the installation.

This is a short-term contract ideal for candidates with proven modular construction experience and the necessary health and safety qualifications. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations for modular installation
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to meet project deadlines
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain site documentation
• Oversee quality control and snagging activities to ensure high standards
• Liaise with clients and project stakeholders to maintain smooth communication
