Morson Edge are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a HVAC Engineer with design experience and a background working in support of large, complex construction projects to work as an HVAC Review and Acceptance Engineer supporting EDF's Hinkley C nuclear power station construction project. The position will be based at the Hinkley C site near Bridgwater, Somerset (TA5 1UD) 3 days/week, with the rest worked from home. Candidates will be required to obtain nuclear site security clearance for this role.
Role Duties and Responsibilities
- The HVAC Engineer will join an established group which performs the role of the 'Review and Acceptance Team' for the construction drawings for the HPC project.
- In this role, they receive all of the construction drawings being produced and then perform final checks, reviewing changes, making sure the drawings have been updated, that they align with the schedule, etc. before passing the drawings onto the construction team.
- They also receive, assess and process any change requests received from the construction team before passing these on to the team responsible for production and modification of the drawings.
- This is not a design role, though experience in, and a strong understanding of HVAC engineering design and analysis is required for the role.
- Another important part of the role is liaison with the client and stakeholders, so good communication skills are also an essential requirement.
This position offers strong career development and growth potential working in support of the HPC project, as well as the future Sizewell C project. Individuals resident in the UK on a VISA will be happily considered, and sponsorship can be offered for the right candidate.
