Morson Edge are currently seeking an Avionic Role Equipment Supervisor to join the team at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.
JOB PURPOSE
The WIST WMS RE Maintenance Supervisor will conduct and co-ordinate the required inspections, maintenance and documentation, including IT systems on Wildcat AH and HMA, Role Equipment (RE), Task Essential Equipment (TEE) and Helicopter Underslung Load Equipment (HUSLE) for Wildcat FLC's.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
- The Wildcat RE Maintenance Supervisor will be required to maintain RE, TEE and HUSLE to support Wildcat operations. This includes configuration control, support, training, maintenance, preservation, anti-deterioration maintenance, servicing and defect rectification functions.
- Control, management, prioritization and supervision of RE, TEE and HUSLE maintenance, servicing, defect rectification and modification to support WMF, CHF and 1 REGT AAC tasking ensuring compliance with appropriate technical information and policy.
- Manage the Wildcat RE, TEE and HUSLE range and scale to meet the Wildcat CASP allowance, ensuring all GOLDesp action is completed appropriately.
- Provide subject matter expert advice on the configuration, storage and maintenance, servicing and defect rectification of RE, TEE and HUSLE to Squadron Support Sections.
- Carry out tasks in a supervisory role within the WMS Wildcat Role Equipment Section, working under direction of the WMS Wildcat Role Equipment (RE) Supervisor and SSM.
- Provide Future Air to Surface Guided Weapon (FASGW) support, for the servicing, control and distribution of FASGW Role Equipment.
- Maintain a full driving licence including category D1 and E, with the necessary classifications required for towing a trailer, and hold a valid Airfield Driving Permit.
- Maintain HUSLE Currency.
- Deputise for the WMS Wildcat RE Supervisor in their absence.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Educated to a minimum of BTEC level 3 in an aviation related subject or have completed a recognised aircraft engineering training followed by significant relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience of helicopter maintenance operations, supply chain and technical support processes, including practical experience of forward operational support.
- Experience and understanding of the military helicopter operating environment and command structure, and of deployment and operational planning.
- Self-motivated, able to take initiatives and work within teams.
- HLSEI Qualified.
