Morson Edge are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Production Engineer to work for one of our Aerospace/Defence clients based on the Wiltshire/Dorset border. This is a contract position for 6 months initially with the potential to go permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing instructions, process sheets, routings and bills of materials.
  • Support NPIfrom design through to production.
  • Conduct manufacturing feasibility and producibility assessments.
  • Investigate production problems using structured root-cause analysis techniques.
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate recurring manufacturing issues.
  • Support non-conformance investigations and disposition activities.
  • Work with Design Engineering to resolve drawing, tolerance and manufacturability issues.
  • Develop and optimise mechanical assembly processes.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure production processes comply with company procedures and applicable aerospace standards.
  • Maintain accurate engineering and manufacturing documentation.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in a electrical manufacturing or production engineering environment.
  • Good understanding of electrical manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Experience providing technical support directly to production.

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to engineering problems.
