Morson Edge are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Production Engineer to work for one of our Aerospace/Defence clients based on the Wiltshire/Dorset border. This is a contract position for 6 months initially with the potential to go permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace mechanical components and assemblies.
- Create and maintain manufacturing instructions, process sheets, routings and bills of materials.
- Support NPIfrom design through to production.
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility and producibility assessments.
- Investigate production problems using structured root-cause analysis techniques.
- Implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate recurring manufacturing issues.
- Support non-conformance investigations and disposition activities.
- Work with Design Engineering to resolve drawing, tolerance and manufacturability issues.
- Develop and optimise mechanical assembly processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Ensure production processes comply with company procedures and applicable aerospace standards.
- Maintain accurate engineering and manufacturing documentation.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in a electrical manufacturing or production engineering environment.
- Good understanding of electrical manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Experience providing technical support directly to production.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to engineering problems.
