Morson are looking for talented intermediate Architectural Technologist to be based in an award-winning Bristol studio to work across Healthcare, Education, Residential, Workplace and other sector projects. The Bristol studio already has a recognised strength in technical design, co-ordination, and delivery with Revit as the predominant modelling software. The successful candidate will play a key role within project teams and primarily contribute towards technical design co-ordination, problem solving, production of architectural details and specification writing, making a significant contribution to the teams output and project successes.
As a major interdisciplinary building design practice of Architects, Engineers, Designers and Urbanists, we offer a unique opportunity to work on definitive high-profile projects within interdisciplinary project teams. Access to the wide variety of skilled and experienced individuals will allow the successful candidate to exponentially grow with self-directed and guided learning and development opportunities.
About you
- You will have some experience working as an Architectural Technologist and have robust design and graphic skills, together with an enthusiastic and collaborative approach to your work.
- Strong technical knowledge and Revit skills are essential for the position together with the following specific skills and experiences:
- Good verbal, written and graphical communication skills, and track record of working within multidisciplinary design teams.
- A sympathetic appreciation of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, acoustics etc engineering design principles.
- Preferable experience of technical delivery at RIBA Stage 4, however an ability to apply technical delivery experiences to earlier conceptual stages will be advantageous.
- Analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- A curious personality and ability to delve deeper than surface level thinking.
- A visual thinker and strong ability to interpret 2D and 3D geometry and details.
- Comprehensive draughting ability, with sound Revit knowledge.
- An understanding of current UK Building Regulations and COM obligations.
- Experience in site attendance and ability to resolve site queries is desirable.
- CIAT accredited degree and working towards MCIAT desirable.
