We are looking for a Structural Designer to be based in Warrington on a hybrid basis. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing themselves and meeting new challenges. BPSS clearance is required for this role.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Delivering design work, inspections and construction site support on a major infrastructure project.
- Concept and Feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
- Analysis and Design using engineering software such as STAAD, Tekla and TEDDS as well as producing hand calculations.
- Preparation of Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter-discipline design coordination and supervision.
- Assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical and professional development.
- A degree qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil / Structural Engineer
- Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
- Knowledge of seismic design requirements for waste storage / processing plant
- Knowledge and use of BIM packages
- Experience in preparation of deliverables for early-stage constructability assessments and HAZOPs
- Knowledge of structural aspects of underground/above ground services diversions
